Welsh cheeses
Perl lâs
Produced with organic cows’ milk, this lighter blue cheese is a firm favourite. Enjoy as a table cheese with crackers, or our particular recommendation Bath Oliver Original Crackers, or as a blue cheese sauce. £19.99/kg
Perl Wen
Another organic cows’ milk cheese from Caws Cennarth, a creamy, mild cheese that is always popular. Serve at room temperature – we like it best with olive oil-flavoured crostini and quince jam. £19.95/kg
Ranscombe
A firm raw milk goats’ cheese from Cothi Valley. Moist and flavoursome, this cheese is a must for lovers of goats’ cheese. Enjoy at room temperature and serve with a good glass of wine. £21.00/kg
Caerphilly ‘Caerfai’
A farmhouse cheese that is produced organically with traditional unpasteurised milk. Often described as the national cheese of Wales, this is the best example we could find. Enjoyed as a young cheese with its gentle flavour. £17.50/kg
Hafod
An extra-mature Cheddar made in the Lampeter area. It is made with raw (unpasteurised) milk that has organic certification. Tangy in flavour, this cheese really is unique. Enjoy with our Sloe chutney for the perfect combination. £19.99/kg

French cheeses
Roquefort
Particularly well known for its high quality, this ewes’ milk cheese is matured for three months and is produced to the traditional specific regulations of production associated with this cheese. Smooth in consistency, enjoy with a glass of good Sauternes. £29.00/kg (unpasteurised)
Comté (AOP)
Ripened for between 10 and 16 months, St Antoine is arguably the most famous Comté. Rich in aroma with a sweet nutty taste, this cheese reflects the Alpine pastures on which the cows graze between May and October. Delicious served with oatcakes and chilled grapes. £20.00/kg
Brie de Meaux
This, our most popular cheese, has been carefully chosen by us. The producer ripens the cheese for six weeks in humid cellars, and we have them delivered to us in various stages of ripeness to ensure perfect condition for our customers. £18.90/kg (unpasteurised)
Camembert
A genuine example from the Normandy region of France, made according to strict regulations, our Bocage Camembert is available in both wooden small boxes and as a cutting cheese. 250g – £5.45 or £21.00/kg
Délice-des-Crémiers
The milk used for this cheese is enriched with quality cream and ripened for only two weeks which results in a creamy white cheese with a fresh, slightly salty taste. This cheese has become known as the ‘ Simple crackers and a sweet Black Cherry jam, with a glass of Beaujolais are a perfect end to a meal. £19.99/kg
Reblochon de Savoie
A particular favourite of ours, this cheese is washed twice a week in salt water which results in a distinctive aroma. It is a soft creamy cheese when ripe, with a lasting, full flavour. £22.50/kg (unpasteurised)
Tomme de Savoie Fermiére
A semi-hard cheese that is ripened for two months, resulting in a soft, mellow flavour. A natural reddish mould on the rind indicates its premium quality and farmhouse production. £21.00/kg (unpasteurised)
Other French cheeses include: Olivade Speciality goats’ cheese from the Perigord region, delicately flavoured with tapenade. 100g – £4.89 / Crottins Light, fresh goats’ cheese, tender and aromatic, coated in blue poppy seeds. 80g – £3.89 / Tomme du Fédou, a semi-hard ewes cheese, ripened for three months, with a slight chalkiness. A medium-flavoured cheese. £24.90/kg (unpasteurised) / Bluet de Chevre, distinctive with its triangular shape, this blue goats’ cheese has a full-bodied flavour. It is produced in the Val de Loire. £23.00/kg (pasteurised)
